SUPERVISION AND CONSULTATION

I am a certified supervisor with Washington State and work with counselors, social workers, and psychotherapists who are working towards their Washington State licensure requirements.

Practicing psychotherapy demands a lot from the practitioner both intellectually and emotionally.  Having a good grounding, in theory, can help provide a base from which to work.  I can help you discover and enrich the theoretical foundation you want to work from.  With this as a foundation, the intuitive observational mind must always be at the forefront of our work.  Being able to explore this mind together through the lens of clinical material can be a very rewarding experience.

I provide consultation to both new practitioners as well as experienced clinicians who want to openly discuss clinical material in a deepening and explorative way.  Discovering how we work and how we think and feel about how we work is an on-going process that I feel very committed to.

My goal is to help you discover the depth of your analytic and therapeutic mind.  I have taught both psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for over 15 years in Seattle and around the country.  I will share my thoughts and feelings about the material presented in order to expand the frame we are viewing both our patients and our work from.  All decisions on how to conduct the work are the therapist’s responsibility.
